Submitted on 10-4-2020 (350 character spaces per answer allowed) What qualifies you to hold this position? 27 yrs. as an investigative reporter hosting The Inside Insight TV show, I understand the operation and foibles of the government and my opponent’s voting record which is self-serving and anti-family. He aggrandizes his 40 yrs. in gov. & distorts the truth. I fought on behalf of citizens at the courts, legislature, cities, school boards & media. # 2 What would your top priorities be if elected? Due to COVID-19 all children, especially special needs students, have lost a year of education. We need a response, summer school or grade 13? Ed funding should follow students not bureaucracy. MN should mandate a curriculum of American exceptionalism not books that teach hate America & schools that discriminate against family values. #3 What do you think is the primary role of government? Government should keep us safe; respect our rights & liberties, mandate good policing not defunding. Police & teachers can’t be afraid to do their job. Prosecutors & courts can’t be allowed to tolerate anarchy. Government should repair roads and infrastructure, not social engineering. My opponent voted to raise his pay & your taxes. #4 How would you grade Minnesota's response to COVID-19 and what, if anything, would you have done differently? By not shutting their economy down, Sweden minimized suicides, domestic violence, business & education disruption, & protected personal liberty. In MN 70% of deaths are the aged & infirm. Nursing homes have become infectious hot spots. Panic pandering has paralyzed us. MN death per population is 2,080/5,600,000 Your chances of dying is .00036 or 1/2800 |
